Behind the Album — Prue Swings Christmas

When Prudence the Doodle swings, the whole room moves with her. Prue Swings Christmas was born out of equal parts playfulness and pragmatism. After watching streams spike on our Summer Cocktail Swing project, we realized swing has a timeless pull — it’s music that makes people smile, dance, and share. And who better to lead the charge than Prue, our holiday star?

The album didn’t just fall into place. It started with a wild idea: what if Prudence wasn’t just the face of CJSP, but the bandleader of her own holiday big band? We took that spark and let it run. From traffic jams on I-95 to gifts for “Grandpup,” from helicopter-tail joy to Advent reflection, every track mixes laughter with warmth.

Recording Prue Swings Christmas was pure energy — horns blazing, drums snapping, Prue’s personality in every bark and pause. The result? A holiday album that isn’t background noise. It’s alive.

This project reminded us that sometimes the best art comes from instinct. What started as “let’s make a Christmas swing record” became a collection of songs that feels inevitable, like it was waiting to be made. And now, it’s waiting to be played in your living room, too. Well not until November 7th, 2025
